This button certifies that the wearer is a member in good standing in the Official Champ Scouts Club, and, by proudly displaying their badge, is duly entitled to the title "Official Champ Scout". No specific accomplishment need be undertaken to earn this badge, but you must strive to remain in good standing, in accordance of the Official Champ Scouts rules.

To remain in good standing, you must promise to always keep a close lookout for Champ when visiting Lake Champlain, to be respectful of others you meet on your search, and to keep the lake a clean home for our beloved monster.
